You begin in Kathmandu, where the daytime high is a balmy 75º. As if stepping into a medieval storybook, you explore fragrant spice markets, and beautifully decorated palaces. Every day sparkles with magic as you meet an incarnate Goddess Tajelu, and visit the golden-roofed Pashupati Temple.
Each day the trip leaders explain Nepali culture, so you get to enjoy Kathmandu as an insider. You experience Nepal's indigenous healers, and visit Aama Bombo, a highly regarded healer, and one of the Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers. Your hotel is your personal sanctuary, where you relax by the pool, and have lunch with your fellow travelers. And before dinner the group always gets together to share stories, and to assimilate and process the wonders seen that day.
From Inn To Inn Through An Enchanted Realm
Next you visit the alpine valleys of the Sherpas and experience a welcoming culture that’s suspended in the past. There are no clocks. No calendars. The wheel is largely unused.
You visit village shamans, and see the amazing Procession of The Lamas. You also see the lively Mani Rimdu Festival, and have a private audience with the High Lama of Thame.
You enjoy the hospitality of cozy country inns, with great food and soft beds. And every day you walk past cascading waterfalls, and cross slender suspension spans, under the gaze of snowy peaks. This is an inn-to-inn walk—3 ½ miles a day. And don’t worry!-- all your belongings are carried by yak train.
Ahhhhhh……..Rest and Relaxation
The third part of your Adventure is several days of soothing relaxation. This is when we celebrate our accomplishments! Time to sleep late, eat well, and enjoy a massage.
Doing things that are "impossible"-- seeing the sun rise over Mount Everest, and sitting around a shaman’s camp fire-- empowers areas of your life, such as career, creativity & relationships. The "R&R" allows you to own those changes, and take them home with you. Welcome to the heart of Nepal.
